How can I apply to be considered for employment as a performer at a CTMS Event such as the The Summer Solstice Folk Music, Dance and Storytelling Festival, the Taste of Folk and Bluegrass Music Festival, or the House Concert Series
CTMS will accept promo packages throughout the year from traditional folk music artists who wish to be considered for our festivals and/or concert series.
Please note the following booking deadlines:
The Summer Solstice Folk Music, Dance & Storytelling Festival (the weekend after father's day in June), booked by November of the year before the festival (next festival is in 2010)
Taste of Folk and Bluegrass Festival (the second Sunday in October), booked by July the year of the festival.
New Years Camp (December 29-January 1), booked by July the year of the camp.
Monthly House Concert Series, (normally the third Saturday of the month, but other dates are possible) currently booked at least 12 months in advance.
Note that for the Summer Solstice Festival and the New Years Camp, we normally look for artists who can teach as well as perform, so include a note about your teaching experience with your material. Also note that the Taste of Folk Festival has a limited budget which normally prevents us from bringing in acts from out of the area.
We cannot
return any material sent to us.
