Michael Patrick Bren is originally from the village of Derradda near Newport, County Mayo, Ireland. He has taught Irish dance in Ireland and the U.S. National Championship Team Titles and Southern California Men's Championships. He has performed with the Chieftains; at the Aura International Folk Festival in Brittany, France; on the Carnival Cruise Line; at the Sahara Hotel and Casino in Las vegas; Cabaret Shows; and has appeared on U.S., English, Scottish and Irish National T.V. Michael is Director of the Los Angeles Irish Set Dancers, founded in July 2000. The group hosts regular Irish Ceilis, weekend workshops and weekly set dancing classes.

Dan Crow is one of America's most beloved family entertainers and recording artists. Appearing regularly on Nickelodean and The Learning Channel, Dan writes and plays songs for Winnie the Pooh and Dumbo and children all over the world. He presents more than 200 school concerts a year and is the recipient of the "Professional Artists in Schools" Lifetime Achievemnet Award. Dave has played traditional dance music for 25 years. he plays mandolin, tenor banjo and bouzouki, and occasionally sings an amusing song or two. Dave plays with two traditional Irish bands, "Round the House" and "The New Potatoes", and also with an old-timey band, "The Privy Tippers". He is also the Jam Meister of Carp Camp in Winfield, Kansa.

Rayna Gellert grew up listening to oldtime music, and took up fiddling in 1994. She has toured with the Freight Hoppers, Frank Lee, the David Holt Trio and others. She has taught at many workshops and festivals, including Augusta, Swannanoa, and Ashokan Fiddle and Dance Camp. Her album 'Ways of the World' was released in 2000.

She has appeared at the Summer Solstice Festival as backup for Jean Ritchie and will appear at the 2004 Festival with her own band Hilonesome. Neal Hellman has active inperforming, writing, teaching, and recording acoustic music for the past three decades. His albums include; Autumn in the Valley, Dream of the Manatee and Oktober Country. One of Neal's compositions was featured in a recent Ken Burns Documentary. Neal has written a number of books for mountain dulcimer, including titles specializing in Shaker music and the Beatles.

Brenda Hunter discovered hammered dulcimer in 1993, and the world of traditional music soon after, although her introduction to music began in her early childhood with her families love of singing together. She studied piano, violin, saxophone, guitar, and voice, and has played a wide spectrum of styles of music from rock to Renaissance, Celtic to classical. She won the National Hammered Dulcimer Competition in Winfield, Kansas in 1996. She performs with Gill England and Mary Tulin in Banshee in the Kitchen.

Kossoy sisters are the duo of Irene Saletan and Ellen Christensen, identical twins singing together since the early 1950's. They performed at the first Newport Folk Festival and were part of Greenwich Village's Washingon Square music scene in the 60's. Their album from the mid 50's, Bowling Green, has inspired and influenced many singers over the years. Their song, "I'll Fly Away" was in the film "O Brother Where Art Thou?" Their latest CD features southern mountain traditional songs as well as two original songs by the sisters.

Pierre grew up in a family famous for its great traditional fiddle music. A gifted performer, he plays and composes in a wide range of styles, including Irish, Scottish, French-Canadian and American Swing. Although fiddle is his primary instrument, he is talented in mandolin, tenor banjo, and foot percussion. After winning many awards and competitions, he has focused on performing, and since 1995 has been touring with his own group, The Pierre Schryer Band.

Jean Ritchie is one of the legendary folk singers. She was born in Viper, Kentucky and has been performing for over 50 years. Besides launching what is usually referred to as the "dulcimer revival" through her performances and books, Ritchie has been vital in awakening an interest in the music of Kentucky. And with her own compositions, she has proved an important spokesperson for the inequities of the Appalachian region. She was given the Folk Alliance Lifetime Achievement Award in 1998, and was among the first group for performers to be inducted into The Kentucky Music Hall of Fame in February 2002. Jean was the recipient of the Bess Lomax Hawes National Heritage Fellowship for service to the folk and traditional arts field as a whole in June 2002. A 2002 Festival Artist.

Kim discovered the Celtic harp in the mid-70s, and since than has helped redefine the rich traditions of this instrument with her innovative style and improvisational spirit. With her artistry and sense of tradition, she brings a contemporary touch to an ancient instrument. She has been involved with 20 albums, 11 volumes of published harp arrangements, three videos and international touring schedule of concerts, workshops and retreats.

Jerry has been playing, teaching and promoting the mountain dulcimer since 1970. he is a custom builder of this unique American Folk instrument, and has written instructional text. In college at Ohio State Univerity he studied music theory and composition. Jerry lives and works in the Appalachian foothills of southeast Ohio, and regularly teaches dulcimer at workshops acroess the country.

Gaili was born with perfect pitch and a great love of music. She has been playing and composing music since the age of 4. After hearing Steve Lewis play banjo in 1988, her interest turned to traditional and old-time folk music and eventually they teamed up with Daniel Slosberg, forming contra dance band Turtle Creek. Gailia composes music for film and television, and teaches.

Beverly grew up in Southern California where she was introduced to Carter Family songs by her sister's guitar teacher, Jerry Garcia. She continued her exploration of old-time music, and has become a respected name as a caller, singer, guitar and fiddle player. She has recorded and performed with many leading names in folk and traditional music, and played at festivals and concerts all around the world. Her most recent colaboration is a CD with Carl Jones.

Alex has 15 years experiance with both western and non-western drumming traditions. He has studied Middle Eastern, African, Celtic and Indian percussion and has learned from master drummers such as Souhail Kaspar(Arabic Doumbek) and Francis Awe (Nigirian talking drum). For many years he toured and recorded as a world/ electronic drummer with Electric Skychurch and has been a steady resident with Shaman's Dream World Groove ensemble in Los Angeles. Rick taught himself to play guitar and drums at the age of 12. After playing in rock bands and leading a church choir, he bought a hammered dulcimer on a whim. That led him to playing in a folk band, co-owning an acoustic instrument shop, and winning contests and competitions. Rick now tours as a performer and teaches at festivals across the country. He also builds hammered dulcimers, and has three recordings of music.

Tina is a Denver-based hammer dulcimer performer and teacher. She has won many local and regional music competitions, and in 2000 was named the US National Hammered Dulcimer Champion. Tina has taught at festivals in Georgia, Texas, Oklahoma and Arizona as well as performences around the United States. She appears on recordings by Denver's High Strung.

Tony is fom Co. Wicklow, Ireland, and is one of the most popular and respected bouzouki players on the Irish music scene today. He has played with musicians from Clannad, Altan, Planxty and the Chieftains among others. Donal Lunny was influential in Tony's career to take up the Irish Bouzouki and mandolin in 1993. He was part of Anuna, which led to performing in Riverdance. He is working on a solo album and is a director of Crossroads Summer Camp which specializes in Irish dance.
